Currently I am the project coordinator for the Integrated Soil and Pest (iSNAP) Education Project funded by the USDA National Integrated Water Quality Program and the Western Region Integrated Pest Management Center. The goal of this project is to provide educational programs and materials for agricultural professionals and growers to enhance their skills in protecting water quality through increased knowledge of nutrient and pest management practices. In this role I provide project-level leadership and have a high level of responsibility for the project outcomes. Previously I was the coordinator for Western Integrated Nutrient Management Education (WINME) Project. A major part of my responsibility in the past two years has been the development and implementation of project evaluation. As a Faculty Research Assistant in the Department of Horticulture I managed an on-farm research program to expand the adoption of conservation tillage and cover crops in the Willamette Valley. In this position I facilitated educational programs for professionals and producers. All the programs I have managed focused on practices that growers can adopt that are both economically and environmentally sound.
